Marco Protopapa is a Senior Economist at JPMorgan in the Western Europe Economic Research team. He is responsible for Southern Europe, and in charge of topical regional and global issues, including fiscal policy and the analysis of political risk in the Euro area. Prior to joining JP Morgan, Marco spent 10 years in Central banking, working for the European Central Bank and the Bank of Italy, in several positions in the research, monetary policy and financial regulation departments. Marco holds advanced degrees in economics and finance from the London School of Economics (MSc, MPhil) and the Pompeu Fabra University (MSc), as well as a BSc in Economics from La Sapienza University of Rome.
