Frank De Jonghe leads the Quantitative & Analytics Services for EMEIA at EY, and is visiting professor at the UGent lecturing on Financial Risk Management. Over the past 20 years, he has been advising banks and insurance companies on the use of mathematical models in the context of regulatory reporting, accounting and risk management. Prior to that he worked as an equity portfolio manager, and an internal auditor. He holds a PhD in theoretical physics from the KULeuven. His current professional passion is to bring insights from behavioural psychology, big data and AI together, to ensure AI is used harmoniously in the context of business processes, and to nudge financial institution professionals to exhibit the right risk behavior.
